I'm running a Ti4200 with a Relisys RTL1700 19" widescreen LCD monitor.
I've always used the vga connector and run at the max mode of 1280x768
(i.e. 16:9) which is spec'd as the native res. - This works.
Now I need to hook up another pc to my display (at the same time) so I'm
trying to get the Ti4200 to play with the DVI, plus it should be better.
The Ti4200 (latest drivers) says the max resolution is 1024x768 (i.e
4:3) and running this things look fine, however it leaves large black
voids on each side of the screen. If I pop the res up to 1280x768 I
still have the black bars but the desktop now scrolls left to right.
(but would fill the screen perfect if everything worked).
Has anyone got widescreen dvi working?
Does it see the max res as a 16:9 ratio?
Is it possible to trick the nvidia driver to upping the max res? - I've
played with powerstrip to create custom display with the correct info,
but no luck.
Is this all down the relisys?
Anyone got any suggestions?
