Hey guys. I have a 7900gs (256MB) I sent back today RMA so I picked up an
8600gt (512MB) to use in the meantime. It seems like the 8600 is maybe a
small step backwards in performance. Does anyone use a similar card and
could tell me how it should perform? Thanks all!

The 8600GT is indeed a step backwards in performance:

For the serious gamer, the 8800 series are the only cards worth buying in
the GF8 family. At the minimum you should have gotten a 8800GTS 320 MB.

comparison question - I am building 20 PCs for a game center. I am trying to figure out if I should cut costs and go with the 5700 Ultra or go for the gusto for 2 bills more and get the 5950 ultra. I know the 5950 is clocked faster, but is there a disernable difference..

different 6800 card comparisons - I see that a low end 6800 is now available online: LEADTEK WINFAST A400 STD FX6800 128MB Any idea on what the performance of this card is compared it an ultra or GT?? I see that its approximately half the price of the Ultra, does that mean its got..

Looking for comparison charts - I currently have a motherboard with built in Intel® 82845G Graphics Controller, 1GB shared RAM and no AGP slot, only PCI slots. I would like to know what, if any, the performance boost of a GeForce FX 5200 would be over my Intel Graphics? I was actually...

nVidia Comparison - Morning all. I'm running a budget GeForce FX5200 256mb PCI card on my HP 2.8gHz, 512mb RAM small-form factor. I'm thinking about upgrading to an AGP card but the ones I can find that fit (low profile) have less memory. The options are: - GeForce4..
